Thoughts
Hi everyone...
I have been thinking a LOT lately about how I know LOTS of Scripture and principles...But do I really truly apply them????? I've been working on applying them. Sometimes I just feel that I'm two-faced. And the Scripture says a that we should not be that way. I often feel as though I tell myself one thing and do the other. It's a constant battle. And it's getting harder and harder for me as I find new trials that the Lord puts me in.
But He will give me strength to get through them. I love the verse that talks about the Lord not giving us more than we can handle...If you know that verse please give me the reference...It's a GREAT reminder that we CAN do things, as long as we have surrendered all to God. One thing that always gets me is His death on the cross. He DIED for me. He SUFFERED for me. I owe Him EVERYTHING in my life...Not just a few things here and there, but EVERYTHING! By Him only am I able to get to Heaven and it was a great sacrifice on His part for a stuggling, unworthy girl like me. We are all unworthy because of our sin, but because He paid the price that we could not pay, we can be forgiven and saved. It's challenging when I think I can do this or that, even though I KNOW it doesn't please the Lord. Then I realize, it's only by Him that I am here and I need to do what DOES please Him.

We All Fail Sometimes
In my devotions today I was reading Table Talk. It has a devotion for every day. It's an older one...
Anyway, it was talking about Noah. When you think of Noah I'm sure you also think that he was a great man and he went through the time of the flood. Well, yes, that is all true. But he also commited a sin soon after. He became drunk and left himself uncovered. Following, his son saw him, and instead of covering him, he went and told his brothers [gossip]. The fact of the matter was that even though you may be really great spiritually, we can all fail. Maybe not that far, but we all make mistakes, and fail. One thing it says that I really liked was, "Sometimes those who, with watchfulness and resolution have, by the grace of God, kept their integrity in the midst of temptation, have, through confidence, and carelessness, and neglect of the grace of God, been surprised into sin, when the hour of temtation has been over." Think about that...We may get through a hard trial with God's grace, and then carelessly fall into sin.
Remember to pray that after you conquer one temptation, that you may not fall into another.
Hope you all have a great day!

Just a Reminder
I just wanted to leave a small reminder for everyone. It's because of what happened last night...I gave into the temptation of music, and when I got up this morning I felt horrible.
We all fail sometimes, but God will forgive us if we ask. But instead of going right back into doing it, we need to endure the temptations.
Yes, it is a hard battle to overcome sin. The devil puts thoughts in our minds, and stumbling blocks. What we need to do is pray that the thoughts would be removed and try to focus on other things. For those stumbling blocks, again, pray and 'step over' them without falling. Sure, sometimes we do fall, but God will pick us back up.
What I want to remind you all is that if we strive to be more Christ-like, endure those hard times and trials, and keep strong in God, take time to do devotions and take time to pray, we will be well blessed in the end.
Be thankful for the days you have, the victories you win, and the trails you face. Because in the end it will be WELL worth it.
I hope that all made sense. And that your day would be blessed!

Yes, I know. It is late for me to be typing. I usually type in the mornining.
Well, I got up at about 7 this morning. I got really mad a blew up at my mom. It was horrible. After she left to go walk, I felt soooo terrible. About 10 minutes later, Gail called. [my mom's friend] I talked to her for a little while and helped me through it. Then when my mom got back she talked to Gail. I ate breakfast and read my Proverbs and went to to German class online. After it was over I went out to the kitchen and apologized to my mom. It was hard, but it felt great!
Then I went to my room and I did my school I got done about 11. I messed around online for a while and then I did my devotions.
The day is going MUCH better than it started! And it's only by God's grace. I prayed multiple times to Him to help me keep the right attitude and not get so frustrated.
Well, I am going to start on a project, which is posted above. So I better go now!

A Trying Day
Well, today was not one of my best days. I got up late (7:30) and wasn't happy almost all day. But I need to be reminded TIME and TIME again that I need to ask the Lord for help, which I did multiple times today. I had german class. That went ok. Then I spent a while doing my german homework. And then did science.
Science is a hard subject for me because I am not interested in it. So therefore I don't often understand things or don't care to understand them. If you have advice, please comment!
I did my Proverbs for the day. It was good. And then I did my homework for Wednesday night youth group.
We are reading through the book called "Pilgrim's Progress" by John Bunyan along
with doing the study guide. For those of you who have never heard of it or have not read it, I suggest getting it and reading it. It is amazing. It is a story about Christian, and how he gets saved and his journey AFTER salvation, and the difficulties he faces. Today something struck me. It said, "Now according to the strength or weakness of his faith in his Saviour..." It really it me. Depending on how much strength we have in our Savior is the result of how much joy, peace, and desire to grow more is. (It mentions that in the book) It just really challenged me. I need to remember that every day. If my strength in my Lord is STRONG then I can have much joy, and peace, and will want to know Him more.
I actually did not do much more. I was on a few websites browsing around, and I printed a few things. (I had to fix my printer first) I am going to start a devotional called "The Girl in the Mirror" tomorrow. If you have read it you can post how it has helped you or suggestions while reading it. Anything you would like. I hope that the rest of your day is great and you would strive to grow in the Lord!
